Here at St Martin’s we appreciate both the uniqueness and complexities of Autism, so therefore we adopt a flexible approach to teaching and learning.  Our staff team work alongside other professionals to adapt the Early Years and Primary National Curriculum, focussing on the skills, needs and interests of pupils allocated to the Resource Base.  We offer topic-based learning opportunities whereby pupils can progress academically, whilst also developing functional skills needed for the wider world in whatever capacity their needs allow.  This is supplemented by both small group work and 1:1 support for pupils to focus on individual targets as determined by their EHC plans.
