St Martin’s CE Primary School
Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium
What is Pupil Premium?
The pupil premium gives schools extra funding to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils from Reception to Year 11.
The criteria for the fund is children who:
- are eligible for free school meals, or have been at any point in the last 6 years
- have been looked after for 1 day or more
- have been adopted from care
- have left care under a special guardianship order, a residence order or a child arrangements order
Pupils who meet the criteria attract the funding for schools to raise the achievement of disadvantaged pupils. Schools are best placed to assess what additional provision their pupils need.
How do we spend the pupil premium at St Martin’s and what impact does it have?
The pupil premium strategy is reviewed annually. The next review date will be in Autumn 2023.
