Message to parents:

We are pleased to say that we will be able to return to most of our usual school routines whilst keeping measures in place to keep children, parents and staff as safe as possible. Unfortunately, COIVD-19 has not gone away so we will continue to follow government guidance, will review and alter our plans accordingly and will keep you updated with any changes.

School drop-off and collection

There will be no staggered start and finish times to the day so children from Reception to Year 6 will begin school at 8:55 each day and leave at 3:15. Doors will open at 8:40 and close promptly at 8:55. Any children arriving after this time will need to be brought to the school office and will receive a late mark. Children in Nursery will begin school at 8:30 for morning sessions and 12:20 for afternoon sessions.

Children in Early Years must be dropped off at the classroom door and children in Years 1 and 2 at the Key Stage 1 entrance. No parents/carers will be allowed into the school building. Parents will only have access to school through the gate at the front of school or Constantine Way gate. There will be no access through the gates to the Key Stage 2 playground.

Children in Years 3 – 6 must be dropped off at the Key Stage 2 gate or arrive via Constantine Way. Parents/carers of children in these year groups, will not be permitted onto the school premises at the start of the school day.

All children will be dismissed from their classrooms at the end of the school day. Parents will be allowed onto the school premises to collect children, however, we ask that wherever possible only one parent/carer collects your child in order to minimise contact. Children in Years 5 and 6 may walk home alone but we must have written permission from the parent/carer before we allow this.

The government information for parents can be found here. Please note that schools have been advised that it might be ‘necessary to reintroduce bubbles or to keep groups apart for a temporary period to reduce mixing between groups.’ Parents are, therefore asked to ‘follow any requests from your individual nursery, school or college.’
